Willful: How We Choose What We Do
December 3 @ 17:30 - 20:30
Richard Robb, the chief executive officer of Christofferson, Robb & Co., will discuss his firm and views from his newly published book “Willful: How We Choose What We Do,” which examines how much is still unknown when it comes to understanding the reasoning behind the decisions people make and their behavior.
Founded in 2002 in New York and London, Christofferson, Robb & Co. is a private credit/hedge fund manager with $4.5 billion AUM. CRC is active in Risk Sharing Transactions with European banks. It also manages the liquid CRC Bond Opportunity Trading Fund.
According to Edmund Phelps, Nobel Laureate in Economics, “Willful is a breakthrough in economics. Richard Robb’s tremendously insightful book shows how much of our behavior is not explained by existing theories of human action and explains in sparkling prose why understanding decisions made seemingly without reason presents a fuller picture of our world.”
Until January 2001, Robb was global head of the trading, marketing, legal, research and technology departments of the derivatives and securities subsidiaries of The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank. He is also a professor of professional practice in international finance at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
