What Does a Trump Administration and Republican Congress Mean for Your Tax Planning?
January 26 @ 12:00 - 13:00
The new Trump Administration and Republican controlled Congress could bring about a multitude of changes to the tax code in 2017. This call will focus on the differences between the Trump and House Republican tax plans, particularly how both tax plans will affect the asset management industry. Proposed tax legislation associated with the status of carried interest; corporate tax reform; the potential repeal of the 3.8% Obamacare tax surcharge; and the status of individual tax rate and tax deduction changes that will impact both investors and management company principals are on the agenda. By the end of this call, participants in the asset management industry will be prepared and ready to discuss how both tax plans will affect their funds, management companies and their respective investors.
Vadim Blikshteyn, Financial Service Senior Tax Manager at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP will share his insights on future tax planning and will take questions from listeners. Robert Akeson, COO of COO of Mirae Asset Securities (USA), will moderate this call.
