The Changing Private Equity Landscape -The Impact of COVID, Political Change & Various Other Factors

Join the New York Alternative Investment Roundtable for a panel discussion with industry leaders and experts about some of the ways the private equity industry is changing and adapting to current events -from the global COVID-19 pandemic, to a new political administration and looming issues such as climate change.

James Andersen, managing partner and co-founder, Clearview Capital
Adam Weinstein, CFO and Head of Firm Operations, New Mountain Capital

James Andersen is a managing partner and co-founder of private equity firm Clearview Capital, where he specializes in control private equity investing in lower middle market manufacturing; distribution; consumer; business services and health care services businesses. Prior to founding Clearview Capital, he was a managing director at private equity firm Capital Partners where he worked on acquisition due diligence and portfolio company operating improvement initiatives. Before that, he was a project manager at strategy consulting firm Mars & Co. and was a Middle East-based senior field engineer and field test coordinator at Schlumberger International.

Adam Weinstein is CFO and Head of Firm Operations for private equity firm New Mountain Capital. He is involved with portfolio company oversight, investor relations and is also responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the finance, fund operations, investor reporting, administrative and tax functions. He also serves as an Executive Vice President and is on the Board of Directors of New Mountain Finance Corporation, a publicly traded business development company which houses New Mountain’s current debt platform. Prior to joining New Mountain he was at Deloitte & Touche, where he worked with that firm’s merger and acquisition and private equity investor services areas. He is also a New York State Certified Public Accountant. He sits on the board of the Great Oaks Foundation, a lead not for profit charter school organization, and heads the grant board for a private foundation he founded.


Hugh Nguyen, Managing Partner, Knickerbocker Financial Group

Hugh Nguyen is a Managing Partner at Knickerbocker Financial Group. Prior to his current position he was a co-founder and CEO at wealth management platform ClearServe. And before that he was vice president of business development in North America for Gerson Lehrman Group, a Silver Lake Ventures and Bessemer-backed company, providing primary research to Wall Street. Hugh is an active angel investor; advisor to Fordham Foundry (Fordham University’s tech incubator) and a member of the President’s Council for the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
