#2000 Redux: Why Now Is The Time To Increase Your Allocation To Hedge Funds
April 9 @ 17:30 - 20:00
They (well Mark Twain, supposedly) say that history doesn’t repeat, but it rhymes and we will make the case for why we are in the midst of “Tech Wreck 2.0” and why 2018 to 2020 will look just like 2000 to 2002 in the US Equity markets. 2019 is likely to play out just like 2001 -strong early, recession in the middle and a steady decline in growth, profits and stock prices over the course of the year.
The good news is there is something you can do to protect your portfolio; increase your exposure to Hedge Funds! Just when everyone is saying Value, Active Management and Long/Short are dead (again…) these strategies will crush the passive/index competition in the years ahead.
The New York Hedge Fund Roundtable’s April event will feature Mark Yusko, the founder, CEO and CIO of Morgan Creek Capital Management, who will discuss why he believes now is the time to increase your allocation to hedge funds.
