Launching and Investing in an Opportunity Zone Fund

December 7 @ 09:00 - 11:00

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act created the Opportunity Zones Program which has received a lot of publicity recently following the issuance of Proposed Regulations from Treasury. The opportunity to defer capital gains and enjoy a reduction in tax if certain criteria are met is highly appealing, but a lot of questions remain unanswered and many investors and potential fund sponsors are grappling with the operational reality of what it means to invest in and launch an Opportunity Zone Fund.

Join Grant Thornton LLP  for a panel discussion where we will explore the technical rules some resulting issues, challenges and considerations, as well as hear from an asset manager who has formed an Opportunity Zone Fund and is in the capital raise stage. It is sure to be a meaningful discussion as we explore many of the questions that are top of mind from both the investor and asset management perspective.
