Mark Haas is a managing director of BNY Mellon and head of its principal securities finance group. Prior to joining BNYM Mellon, he founded Nekton Partners, a specialty consultancy serving the hedge fund, prime brokerage and related service provider communities on matters including Basel III, securities lending and borrowing, repo, traditional and synthetic prime brokerage and counterparty management. Before that he spent almost three years at multi-disciplinary hedge fund Hutchin Hill Capital as a principal and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing a majority of the firm’s non-investment functions. He also spent more than 28 years in various positions at multiple investment banks, including Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.

Scott Kern is BNY Mellon’s Global Prime Custody Segment Head and leads the firm’s Prime Custody strategy. He heads up business execution, revenue expansion & product strategy. Previously, he served as Global Head of Prime Custody Client Service for BNY Mellon’s Alternative Investment Services business. Prior to joining BNY Mellon in 2009, Scott was with UBS where he was a relationship manager in that firm’s fixed income derivatives group, and before that he was part of Lehman Brothers’ Prime Brokerage Group in various capacities. He began his career at  Goldman Sachs & Co.’s Private Wealth Management group.

  • Frank Anduiza, Head of Americas Business Development, Hedge Fund Services, BNY Mellon

Frank Anduiza leads and executes the sales efforts in BNY Mellon’s hedge fund services business in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. As part of this mandate, he plays a critical role in the successful enterprise-wide delivery of comprehensive solutions to the hedge fund, credit fund and hybrid fund marketplace. Frank joined BNY Mellon from Citigroup Prime Brokerage, where he was a business development executive based in New York. Prior to his role in prime brokerage, he was a business development executive for hedge fund administration, middle office and custody and also served as a senior credit officer to the asset management sector including hedge funds and private equity firms. Before Citigroup, he was a counterparty credit officer in the mutual fund groups at both Credit Suisse and J.P. Morgan.
