Edward Price is the UK Government’s Head of Financial Sector and Economic Policy, a US-wide role in the Department for International Trade (DIT) based in the British Consulate-General New York. Prior to his current position he worked in the European Parliament, the House of Commons, and the UK’s financial services industry group. He is also an adjunct professor at New York University. Price was educated at the London School of Economics, holds two master’s degrees and has published on financial regulation and economic policy.
Neil Robson is a regulatory and compliance partner for financial services firms, focusing his practice on counseling hedge and private equity fund managers, investment advisers, broker dealers and proprietary traders on operational, regulatory and compliance issues. He regularly addresses Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and EU authorization and compliance issues under EU directives, cross-border issues in the financial services sector, financial crime (including market abuse, money laundering and bribery), regulatory capital requirements, regulatory reporting and disclosure obligations, formations and buyouts of financial services groups and structuring and marketing (financial promotions) of investment funds and other financial services products and securities.
Marianne Scordel founded Bougeville Consulting in the UK in 2012 and moved her company to the US in 2017, to assist both US and European alternative investment managers in setting up and running their operations. Since 2012, Bougeville Consulting has received many awards from financial publications and Marianne was voted by Financial News one of the top “40 under 40 rising stars in hedge fund management” in Europe for three consecutive years. Her client base includes some of the best known investment managers in the world. Prior to setting up Bougeville, Marianne worked in investment banking, focusing on servicing hedge fund clients and on public policy impacting the industry. She currently serves on the board of the London Music Fund, a charity which which supports music education. Marianne is French, speaks five languages and has expressed views about ethics in finance in forums, including in the context of a conference at the House of Lords which she runs every year. She graduated from St. Antony’s College, Oxford, and she now lives in New York full time.
Dr. Carl Weinberg is the founder of High Frequency Economics and is the independent research firm’s chief economist. He has been praised by Barron’s for his provocative views on the global economies and his deep experience and has a lengthy list of experiences that includes serving as Shearson Lehman Brothers’ senior international economist; working at the OECD in Paris, as a member of the economic forecasting unit; co-authoring the Wharton World Economic Model, while serving as Director of Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates; and leading a global econometric modeling project at the National Bureau of Economic Research, to name just a few.
